Hi I’m Mariela Añazco.

Maybe you know me, maybe we’re friends and maybe we’ve never met. Either way I’d like you to be a part of my project - a concert , or to be more precise a choral recital.
This concert is no ordinary concert. Not for me, it isn’t. It’s my graduation concert as a choir conductor. It’s where I prove that I have earned my Bachelor's degree from Utrecht Conservatoire. As a musician, it will be the most important chapter in my own story, to date.
The date: February 9 at 19.15
Ary van der Spuyweg 1 in Den Haag
The programme is ambitious. It will include Rennaissance music by Guerrero, baroque music by Vivaldi, Romantic works by Brahms, and music by modern composers Francis Poulenc and Rudolf Escher.
I’m calling on 12 singers and 11 musicians, all of them young and extremely talented professionals. Plus 11 amature singers from one of my choirs . The musicians will be playing well known instruments such as violins and cello, but also a theorbo and sackbut .
My job is work with this group of 34 motivated musicians to create a beautiful musical experience for you, the audience, to enjoy. This concert is where everything I’ve learned comes together. I will have to put all my knowledge and skills into practise. It is my Journey to Now
As professionals, I expect my musicians to give their best performance and will rehearse with them for that goal. But as professionals they expect me to reward them for their hard work. And rightly so.
As the saying goes - “If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys”. I don’t want monkeys in my choir. And you don’t want to hear monkeys sing.
Every euro you donate will go to one of the young professional musicians working for this concert. Ticket sales should cover my other expenses.

Querida familia, queridos amigos,
Estoy a punto de graduarme del Conservatorio de Música de Utrecht aquí en Holanda. Este concierto de graduación es el momento en donde tengo que mostrar todos mís conocimientos musicales y de organización.
Este será el concierto más ambicioso que he dirigido. Contaré con un total de 34 talentosísimos músicos, 23 de ellos jóvenes profesionales. Las obras son muy variades y abarcan 6 siglos de historia de la música.
Ahora, para llevar a cabo este proyecto y poder demostrar lo mejor de mí como directora, voy a necesitar de su ayuda. Hay bastantes gastos para el concierto, sobre todo el pago de los músicos profesionales. Así como yo, ellos también están forjando su camino en el mundo de la música.
Para apoyarme deben escoger una de las opciones de aquí al lado. Hay desde 10 euros hasta 500 euros (si quieren un concierto privado ;-) ) y lo pueden pagar facilmente con su tarjeta de crédito. No importa que yo estoy en Holanda, el dinero igual me llega.
