Diabetic Vet Can't Afford Insulin

Donation protected
Hello Potential Donors Everywhere-- Time is of the essence as days go by and my Insulin Supply is running out.

If you have donated, or cannot donate at this time, PLEASE SHARE THIS CAMPAIGN LINK WITH AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE.

I have felt so blessed with this campaign when it started back in December but I have not seen any new donations in weeks.

You all still have a very special place in my heart and deserve my deepest THANKS!

In addition to desperately needing Insulin, I have some really past due payments that absolutely need to be paid by April 15th. They add up to $372.

Perhaps you will be seeing tax refunds this year and can spare a little to help a Disabled Diabetic Veteran get back on his feet solidly?

In my most recent update to this campaign,
I explained how my co-pays for 90-day supply of both types of Insulin sent to me in the mail went from $2.40 to $561 this year- without my knowledge.

Many of you may have kept up with this campaign and many of my updates for the past few months.

I hate to be a pest but the support people at GOFUNDME tell me to keep getting the updates out in hopes of receiving new donations.

Many people have donated so generously and I am so APPRECIATIVE to every one of them.

However, please note that we have not hit the total goal of this campaign.

It is so painful to reach out and share details of my desperate situation almost every other day.

This is definitely not my nature. I have always been so proud to be Independent and self-sufficient for so many years of my life.

Donations from some very generous and selfless people have allowed me to AVOID EVICTION, LOSING MY INTERNET, LOSING SOME UTILITES, and enjoy some very basic comfort over the months.

As I have been doing more of my Comprehensive Copywriter Training, it is becoming obvious that it may still take a few weeks to prospect and find paying clients for all the great benefits I can do for them by helping them get their most important subjects out to their readers.

Fortunately, as of today, I have delayed Internet being shut off until April 15th.

I received Disability on the 3rd of this month, paid my Rent, and some critical payments and have $5 in my bank account.

The Internet Provider will need $216 by April 15th to avoid shutoff.

I am down to one bottle of "N" Insulin and have been out of the "R" insulin for about a week.

About 1/3 of each day has been devoted to talking to my Doctor and the Medicare Supplemental Insurance about any possible ways to get affordable insulin.

One method is to complete and submit an application to Eli Lilly Cares to see if they can provide affordable insulin. This process will take a week or two. I was instructed that many time these applications are declined and I should prepare to appeal my case.

Chances are that I will see no assistance from them for at least a month from now.

I am able to purchase both types of Insulin Over the Counter for $25 apiece.

$150 would help me purchase enough Insulin to get me through this month and allow me time to appeal that application if declined.

Thanks to GOFUNDME, I have all of the donors’ email addresses and it is my goal within the next 2 years to repay their kindness.

Critical loan Repayments are also coming due very soon! These payments are auto withdrawn from my accounts. In the last couple months, they have been very kind about allowing me more reasonable payment plans.

However, if they take these loan payments from my checking account. it will make me over drawn and NSF fees are now $38 per instance.

I have other utility bills that are also auto withdrawn and if these payments happen after my checking account (of only $5.00 now) is cleaned out I may never be able to recover from the overdraft fees accumulating!

Keeping in mind that about 8% is taken out of each donation for the GOFUNDME Services, and it takes 3-5 days for the funds to arrive in my checking account, I am desperately seeking donations TODAY if at all possible.

One payment due is a $156 loan payment BY APRIL 10th.  That is not counting on needing money to buy insulin before then.

Even if you donate $5 or $10 that will be a step in the right direction. If you were SO KIND as to share this campaign link by email or Facebook posts or messages, to others that you know, it may not take long at all to get closer to the total goal of $2,200

Please help me reach my $2,200 goal and at least help me get these emergency payments paid to avoid catastrophic overdraft fees from my bank.

I only hope that someday this year I will be back in a position where I could easily repay people for their awesome kindness and donations.

This campaign does share the donors’ email addresses and I cannot wait until I can email them and offer them a refund for their generosity in whatever way that I can.

May God Bless you all. Even if you can offer nothing more than good wishes through my current crisis.
