All things grow with love

This fundraiser is hosted by Legacy 164, a 60-member strong volunteer team dedicated to creating leadership, and impact for future generations. **** Campaign extension, all remaining funds will go to The Torch Foundation*******

Our goal is to Raise $12,000 (now updated to $16,000) to support urban gardening and youth leadership programs in LA in partnership with Community Healings Garden and The Torch Foundation by 12:00pm on September 27th, 2019. A minimum of $5,000 will be used to support the Community Healing Garden; all other funds raised will go to the Torch Foundation. The $5000 will be used for new soil, plants and garden tools. We have also allocated a small portion of the funds to cover the extra food needed for the farm to dinner feast.

The funds from this campaign will be sent to the organizer Jacquelyn Gotreau and team and forwarded directly to The Torch Foundation via their website (www.thetorchfoundation.com), as a donor, you may also donate directly and select LP164 as your selected team.

Your contributions will support the Torch Foundation’s free youth leadership training programs and support the purchase of tools & supplies for a community garden at Edwin Markham Middle School in Watts, CA.

Garden funds raised will provide equipment and materials for maintenance and construction of a new educational cut-flower garden at the middle school, which provides a beautiful, hands-on outdoor learning environment for students.

The Torch Foundation’s mission is to provide transformational workshops that promote self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills for our teens. By instilling compassion, confidence, and integrity in our youth, we are creating an ever-widening circle of leaders. IT'S 100% FREE for KIDS and more KIDS get to GO with this funding!

In addition to this fundraising campaign, our Legacy 164 team will also be participating in a garden work day on September 27th to get our hands dirty and assist with maintenance, harvesting, planting, and garden construction and hosting a fabulous farm to table dinner using produce harvested from the community gardens to raise more funds to support both nonprofits.
