Community volunteering in Zambia

This summer I will be volunteering for three weeks with the charity African Impact which is part of the Happy Africa Foundation in Zambia. Each day I will be working with primary school children in rural deprived areas assisting with sports and wellbeing which they would otherwise not have as it is not part of the curriculum. Furthermore in the afternoon I will be helping the local community (elderly and young) develop with numeracy, literacy, farming and teaching basic life skills such as money matters and the importance of good nutrition. 

I have to raise £1200 to pay for my position at African Impact for the sports and community development project which directly benefits the local community in Zambia. I have been raising funds through fairs, bake sales, church events and people have been very generous. I have also been saving my wages from my climbing instructors job and have managed to pay for the flight and some of the trip.

`Some of you might know that last year I spent two weeks in South Africa on a similar project for the same charity and I just want to give some more of my time to this cause.
