Community Aid and School Projects in Nepal

Following the aftermath of the April 2015 Nepal Earthquake - a colossal magnitude of 7.8, killing almost 9,000 and displacing close to a million - the country is still being affected by the chain-reaction and many still vulnerable from future natural disasters.
I will be running the Brett Owler Marathon on the 11th August 2019 and will be supporting The Gurkha Welfare Trust. Being a Son of a Former Gurkha Serviceman and having family that were affected by the Earthquake. I am anxious about raising as much awareness to this cause and organisation.
The GWT: Not only work with impoverished Gurkha veterans but also deliver projects to benefit their local communities. Since 1969, the GWT has provided Medical help, Clean Water and Sanitation, in some of the most remote parts of Nepal. Continued School projects have built and repaired schools; educating hundreds and thousands of Nepali children and in turn offering a better future.
The latest GWT project is the 300 Homes Appeal: with your help, we can help build 100 Earthquake-resilient homes across Nepal per year, for the next three years! Although over 1000 new Earthquake-resilient homes have been made, there are still thousands displaced and lacking basic necessities.
Please, help me support this most worthy cause and any donations-big or small- will help ensure Gurkha veterans, their widows and their wider communities are able to live with dignity.
