Clayton needs a new back brace

The Beaver family is an essential part of our church family!  Jennifer and Joe volunteer in guest services, tech team and anyway they can.  They need our help now.  As many of you know, their son Clayton has had medical issues.  He is being treated with a back brace to help support and fix the curve in his spine.  Clayton is one of the cutest and most fun loving kids I have ever seen.  This doesn't seem to change his desires for the things every child loves to do.  He always has the biggest smile to melt a heart!  He needs our help to keep going in the right direction of his recovery.

Clayton was diagnosed with Idiopathic Scoliosis at age 4.  He has two curves in his spine and it is twisting in the middle.  When he was first diagnosed the top curve  measured at 42° and the bottom curve measured at 34°.   His pediatric orthopedic doctor sent him to be fitted with a TLSO Brace.   Jennifer and Joe were told he would be having surgery down the road, but it is essential to wear his brace 22 hours a day.  

Clayton has been a trooper and wears his brace with minimal complaints.  He is now 5 years old.   Last week Clayton went to the doctor and the family was told  has he outgrown his brace!   Because Clayton is obviously still growing, the brace is no longer fitting him properly and his spine will get worse.   His top curve now measures 51° and the bottom measures 41°. 

Unfortunately the insurance company only covers a brace once a fiscal year.  He won't be eligible for a new brace until May 1st.   That's right....you heard that right.....May!  Clayton cannot wait until May!  He needs this brace now!

I know we can all come together and get this brace for Clayton.  Please let God search your hearts and place an amount there to help.  No child should have to wait for care until an insurance company says they will pay.  We can do this!
