30 years ago I moved to the North East and fell in love both with it, and within it.
This year we decided to return and to challenge ourselves to complete the Great North Run. Having secured a place in the ballot I reflected on my previous running experience - a couple of 10k’s and a regular 5k parkrun. Eek- big challenge!
To reflect this I have decided to fundraise for the Ghanaian Children’s Trust. This charity was set up by Jean a Brown Owl whose Brownie pack I joined during my time in Newcastle. Hopefully this fundraising will spread the word about this little charity whose work relieves poverty and distress amongst children and young people in Ghana.
