The Caroline High School theatre Department, who placed first in last year's VHSL One Act Conference theatre competition and third in regionals with their portrayal of "I Don't Wanna Talk About it", have returned to compete once again. And we need your help!
After last year’s success, CHS Theatre has returned to the works of Bradley Hayward and his play "Selfie"; the story of eight high school students dealing with issues of family, self-image, stress, and sickness. In order to make this play a success, our director Ms. P has chosen to incorporate the use of technology by projecting images to tie the production together and set us apart from the other schools to bring home the win our cast and crew have been working so hard for.
To cover the cost of performance rights, technological requirements, and any miscellaneous costume or prop needed, we need to collect $550. Every little donation helps! We need these funds by the end of the month in order to have everything we need in time for our competition date on November 7th. It's up to you, the friends and family of our cast and crew, to help us reach this goal and reclaim our title as conference champs and beyond.
For all the support and donations we collect, we have a few rewards in place to thank everyone who donates to show how much we appreciate your support:
-For donations of $1 - $5, you will have your name proudly displayed on our "I Support the Arts" wall of fame.
-For donations of $6- $10, you have the option of having your selfie displayed on the "I Support the Arts" wall of fame alongside your name.
-For donations of $20- $30, you will receive a personal thank you note from our cast and crew, thanking you for your support in addition to your name and optional selfie on our wall of fame.
-For donations of $31-$40, you will receive a picture of our cast and crew, a thank you note, and your name and optional selfie on our wall of fame.
-$50 donations will grant you a reserved front row seat at our Parent's Night performance with your ticket purchase, a picture of our cast and crew, a thank you note, and your name and optional selfie on our wall of fame.
-$75 donations will give you a free ticket to our Parent's Night performance, a reserved front row seat, a picture of our cast and crew, a thank you note, and your name and optional selfie on our wall of fame.
**Please note that front row seats will be on a first come first serve basis. We will accommodate as many people as we can in the front row and then move to the second row**
The Parent’s Night performance will be on 10/29/15 at 7:00pm tickets will be $5.00 and sold at the door.
The VHSL competition will be held at Chancellor High School 11/7/15. Performances will start at 12:00pm
