Chris Oberg Memorial Fund

With a heavy heart, we are all dealing with the tragic and sudden loss of Chris Oberg: a dear friend, father, husband, brother, uncle, son and so much more. Chris truly was one of a kind…he was passionate, creative, funny, charismatic, fearless, gracious, and adventurous. He wore his heart on his sleeve and never missed an opportunity to tell you how much you meant to him. Forever the romantic...Chris was loyal, soulful, and bold. You never questioned where you stood with him, he shot you straight and told you how he felt. He was a total goofball and never had a problem laughing at himself. Chris was a people-person and always extended his love and compassion to everyone. He was proud and humble at the same time - he had convictions and fought for things that he felt were important and special but also knew when to let others have the floor. Chris loved being a Dad more than anything in the world. He talked about “his girls” so much. Chris loved and lived fully and was taken way too soon. 

As I’m sure you’re aware with these types of situations, substantial costs are incurred and unfortunately Chris didn’t have a life insurance policy. That said, the purpose of this fund is to make sure that his family can provide the proper services and memorial for Chris and that his two young girls are provided for in his absence. Shouldering the huge costs associated with a sudden and unexpected loss of a loved one can be very difficult. People have been reaching out asking how they can help and this is that opportunity. In lieu of flowers, we request that you donate whatever you can to this fund so that Chris’ family is able to transition through this loss without a huge monetary burden.

Chris was probably one of the most altruistic, giving people we’ve ever known. He would have given you the shirt off his back…that’s the kind of man he was. Our goal is to honor him in the way that he would have done for so many of us. Anything helps. Thank you, in advance, for your generosity.
