China Mission 2019

Discover . . . Mission, China-2019 is a once in a lifetime opportunity for young adults (ages 18-35) to connect with young Christians in China.  The projected cost is $3250.00 (double lodging)  for each participant, including airfare from Chicago, all meals, lodging, fees, and domestic transportation in China.  The desire is to fund two full scholarships toward a total of 13-18 team participants.

The Discover  . . . Mission, China-2019 is a journey in partnership with the China Christian Council/Three-Self Patriotic Movement (CCC/TSPM).  Young adults will connect with young Christians of China and learn about the work and witness of faith in the context of contemporary China.  The itinerary expects to include briefings from CCC/TSPM, interaction with Christian leaders and leaders-in-training at leading Chinese seminaries, and working/learning alongside young Christians of the YMCA, the Amity Foundation, and local Christian congregations.  The Discover  . . .  Mission, China-2019 journey will include experiences in Shanghai, Nanjing, and Beijing.  Participants may elect to receive volunteers-in-mission leader training and certification as part of the journey experience.

This is an extraordinary mission opportunity for young adult discovery of the power of missional connection with other Christians and sharing together the witness of faith.  My passion for young adults to experience the blessings of God in a context very different from their home drives this fundraising effort.
