My name is Igor Vasquez and I was born in Trujillo - Peru. I currently live in Evanston, IL and thankful for the safety and comfort this city has to offer.
I was told once to never wait for someone to ask you for help ...
....just BE THERE and HELP.
Kids in Peru need our help TODAY. They need their parents, their families, a roof and food to keep them strong and overcome this tragedy.
I am leaving to Trujillo tomorrow to spend a week helping, along with my relatives, families living in the most impacted areas to get back on their feet. My goal is to provide 100 families with meals for a week.
If you had the opportunity to visit Peru, one thing you may have noticed is that we welcome you and share whatever we have, and many times, the little some of us may have, ALWAYS WITH A SMILE.
It is our time to do something for them TODAY, I promise you that next time you visit this amazing country, we will offer you that same welcoming smile and it will just feel great.
