CHICAGO CHARGERS YOUTH

The Chicago Chargers is an 501(c)3 non for profit Org with the purpose of providing a safe haven for inner city youth by using football and cheer to drive home life skills to be productive members of society. Our organization has helped over 2,500 youth in our ten year existence.  It wasn’t too many years ago that the City of Chicago earned its reputation as a tough City, having more homicides then the war in Afghanistan with many of the same problems faced by similar mostly urban, minority neighborhoods. We hear too much about crime, truancy, substance abuse, obesity, teen pregnancy, and academic failure and the Chicago Chargers has already began to change that. Any donations received will go directly to many of the costs associated with operating such an elite program; equipment, uniforms, warm-ups, shoes, competition fees, organization fees and traveling expenses.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. No dollar amount is too small.
Without the necessary funds student athlete’s season may come to an abrupt end.  The Chicago Chargers is a driving force in the Austin Community. We teach our youth the importance of community involvement through volunteer work, peer mentorship and community outreach. As athletes, our young men and women learn the values of nutrition, self-respect and physical upkeep not only for competing at a high level but also for his/her future health and wellness. Our volunteers encourage our student athletes to strive for excellence in the classroom and on the field. This program has brought a positive impact to the Westside of Chicago and will continue to do so.
