Greetings everyone!!
As many of you already know Chez Dodo from before,we are the sole cart/business providing Mauritian food around the US.2016 has been the toughest year in business, we considered closing our doors for good.
But the concept of Chez Dodo hasn't just been about selling Mauritian food, it has brought awareness of Mauritius in the US, sharing and inspiring our traditions and values to others. As members of this community, we have helped fundraise for the Whole Planet Foundation,North East Collation of Neighborhood, Special Olympics, the Haiti Disaster Relief Program, the Minority Small Business Association, and other local charities.
We have had the privilege of having customers/tourists from around the world supporting us as well as Mauritians who now live in the US.
Mauritians are best known for their hospitality and they always make sure you are well fed whenever you visit.
Help: For the past few months, we have suffered from the cold temperatures freezing our pipes and blocking daily operations as well as causing a natural disaster (a large, heavy branch fell on top of the cart causing damage to the vent & hood). We are requesting for your kind donations to help us get back on track. We have many overdue bills due to the loss of business from being forced to close for numerous days as well as lots of repairs to do at the back and front of the cart including the fencing, awning, and seating area.
