Help Me Get to Philly!

Good afternoon,

My name is Cherry To and I’m from Russellville in District 3.  I became aware of Bernie when I was browsing the internet, and also because I am a MoveOn.org member. I knew if Bernie wanted to run for president he would have to be a very special person and have a lot of confidence in himself. 

I think that the president of the United States should be for the people, and not only the people of the United States, but he or she must be willing to work for the people of the world too. Bernie’s policies on war and foreign involvement reflect this, and it is very important to me.  Bernie is wise and compassionate, and he cannot be bought.

I have volunteered with the Russellville for Bernie group since November. I attended meetings, helped out at phone banks, canvassed, and participated in many other events, including the march in Fayetteville. After the Arkansas primary I looked for more ways to help.  I learned that Hillary’s campaign had a presence in Chinese communities in Nevada and New York, and I wanted Bernie’s campaign to have the same opportunities.  I knew that Chinese people would respond positively to Bernie’s message if they could hear it, so I volunteered in California for a month before California’s primary. I spent about 10 hours a day walking, canvassing, and talking with people in the Oakland and San Francisco communities about why they should support Bernie.

As a representative of the Asian community in Philadelphia I will bring a unique perspective to the process.

I am retired and have only a limited income.  I would appreciate it if anyone could chip in and help me get to Philly to represent voters in Arkansas.
