Veteran & First Responder PTSD Support- Equine Therapy
We are a group of students enrolled in Bridgewater State University's Master of Social Work program raising money for Wild Hearts Therapeutic Equestrian Program (West Bridgewater, MA). The program offers trauma-focused equine-assisted therapy for those struggling with PTSD and other mental health concerns.
Their Horses for Heroes program provides services, facilitated by an Equine Professional and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, for military veterans and first responders free of charge. We are seeking funds to sponsor one 8-week session, giving a veteran or first responder the opportunity to regain a sense of agency and purpose through the healing and empowerment this program provides.
