S.C.A.R.F. Sudden Cardiac Death Awareness Research Foundation is fundraising

S.C.A.R.F. at the University of Illinois
Hello! We are Sudden Cardiac-death Awareness Research Foundation, known as S.C.A.R.F. Our nonprofit was formally established in 2012 by Drs. Paul and Rubina Nguyen with a core focus on four pillars:
Increasing Public Awareness: Educating the general public about sudden cardiac arrest.
Conducting Research: Working to develop treatments and reduce fatalities from cardiac arrest.
AED Advocacy: Promoting the placement of AEDs in public spaces and educating on their use.
Mentorship: Supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Now, our mission extends to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In our inaugural year on campus, our chapter has set two main objectives:
Donate an AED: We aim to raise $2,000 to provide a life-saving AED to a local organization in need.
Support Presentations: Funds raised will also go towards our presentations at the Undergraduate Research Symposium in April.
2024 marks the beginning of our journey at UIUC and we're immensely grateful for any contributions towards our cause. If you'd like to learn more about S.C.A.R.F., visit our website or follow us on Instagram.
Thank you for considering our cause. Together, let's raise awareness and combat the threat of sudden cardiac arrest in our community.
