SHARE Kentucky Mission StatementSHARE Kentucky is a member of the MANA SHARE network. SHARE stands for "Services for Human Advancement and Resource Enhancement." SHARE Kentucky is a human services provider and social justice advocate. The vision of SHARE is to mobilize people of good faith around an activist agenda of community service that strives to provide needed human services and to advocate for the physical and spiritual (psychological) needs of the inner-city communities of Lexington, and in particular the neighborhood in which the Center is located. SHARE Kentucky's goal is to assist in the development of individual, family and community self‑sufficiency, and to provide the tools and guidance needed to help individuals become healthy, whole, righteous human beings. SHARE Kentucky mission is motivated by God's command to do good in the world, to stand up for justice and to help the weak and needy. God says in the Qur'an: ""And what will tell you what is the high road? It is the freeing of the bondman. It is providing food on a day of hunger, to an orphaned relative or a needy person in distress."
