Puppy Paws Rescue

Puppy Paws Rescue Maryland is a small foster based rescue located in Huntingtown, MD. Puppy Paws is a 501c3 nonprofit rescue and all donations are tax deductible. The rescue’s director is always quick to offer a helping hand to any dog in need. Puppy Paws offered to take two of the 100 South Carolina Pugs found in a backyard, who will require extensive medical help. Both pugs came into Puppy Paws infested with worms and in pretty rough shape. One pug will require multiple back end surgeries and the other is Heart Worm positive. Heart worm treatment starts at $1000 and if surgery is required, it can reach up to $3000. While the other pug has hip dysplasia and a torn ACL his costs will exceed $3000. The rescue has already incurred several veterinary expenses (X-rays, neuter, shots) and needs to raise the funds for their medical treatment. You may ask, why did they take on two medical cases?!? When the director offered to take on two pugs, only one was supposed to be a medical case, it was later found during the vet visit that the other pug was heart worm positive. What a surprise that was! The director did not back out and held to what she agreed. This is why we are asking for help. Can you help two pugs in need? No amount is too small!
