We hope to attract people to our mission to support the dignity of those with physical limitations and advocate for full inclusion, utilizing collaborative partnerships to educate the public and promote universal access.
We are lucky to have an amazing Board of Directors to guide us and help us with this accomplishment. Be sure to like our Facebook page as we will begin introducing our great Board members during Board Member Monday.
Through outreach, we will attempt to improve accessible placard parking in Connecticut as well as educate medical professionals, businesses and the government about the importance of access for those with physical disabilities.
We are hoping that our work will help open the minds of the people of Connecticut and eventually throughout the United States.
Our first goal will be to write a friendly and informative letter to doctors throughout Connecticut. This letter will highlight the requirements for obtaining an accessible parking placard and how important it is to adhere to the criteria. We will also focus on access to buildings and easy ways to make access available to everyone.
We will then work with college students to begin producing short PSAs about different aspects of accessible parking.
We will begin to forge friendships and partnerships and keep access in the minds of those around us.
