New Mexico Allies for Advocacy is fundraising

Support NM Allies' First National Presentation
UPDATE: You can reserve seats for our Fundraiser on May 18 here with a donation of $20 or more per person.
New Mexico Allies for Advocacy, Inc. (NM Allies) is a statewide non-profit organization whose mission is to unite and educate the public about disability issues impacting the community.
NM Allies recently achieved a huge milestone for the organization. We had multiple proposals covering the history of the disability movement in New Mexico and personal stories of individuals with disabilities in the community that were submitted to a national conference in Washington D.C. These proposals were accepted by the American Association for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD).
Synergy of New Mexico Allies for Advocacy: Growing into Leadership with Joan Curtiss, MEd, New Mexico Allies for Advocacy, Inc.
The Advocacy Seed: The Growth of a Disability Leader with Amelia-Ann Dickey, Self Advocate, New Mexico Allies for Advocacy, Inc.
Life and Love with Co-Occurring Disorders with Jaime Campbell, Certified Peer Support Worker, New Mexico Allies for Advocacy, Inc.
Thus, NM Allies has an opportunity to present to a national audience for the first time in its 13-year history. However, making this step will not be easy. We need your help.
The cost for the conference, including registration fees, travel, hotel, and per diem costs, will add up to $7,000. It is now up to us to raise this amount of money in the next 2 months to pay for the conference that takes place in the last week of June.
NM Allies is looking for organizations or businesses that can give to us or even sponsor attendees. We are a local non-profit organization for people with disabilities run by people with disabilities. Thus, we don’t have a large budget that many larger non-profits have.
Your generous donation will allow us to share the story of how New Mexico became a key NM state in the movement to promote the rights of people with disabilities. In doing this, NM Allies will fulfill a key step in its mission to unite and educate individuals with disabilities.
~Thank you~
