Educate Empower girls in rural Cameroon: Menstrues no shame
Imagine being a young girl with dreams of education and a brighter future.
Now imagine that dream slipping away every month—not because of a lack of intelligence or determination, but because of something as natural as menstruation.
In rural Cameroon, thousands of girls miss school for several days each month because they lack access to menstrual products. Many are forced to use unsafe alternatives, like old rags, or stay home out of fear and shame. Over time, this leads to poor academic performance, a higher dropout rate, and shattered dreams.
My name is Liliane Bisseck, and I founded Mouna Dreams to empower children in Cameroon through education, health, and dignity. Our latest campaign, Menstrues No Shame, is dedicated to breaking the silence and providing sustainable menstrual health solutions for young girls.
With your support, we will:
Provide reusable menstrual kits to 1,000 girls, ensuring they never miss school because of their periods.
Host educational workshops to teach girls about menstrual health and hygiene.
Raise awareness in schools and communities to eliminate the stigma around menstruation.
Every $10 donation provides one girl with a reusable menstrual kit that lasts up to 2 years. This small contribution can keep a girl in school, restore her confidence, and change the trajectory of her life.
