WeWork Commitment To Pride
June is pride month, and as we honor pride this year, we do so in solidarity with the African American community. For background, Pride honors the 1969 Stonewall Riots and works to achieve equal justice and equal opportunities for the LGBTQ+ community.
To show our support to this community, WeWork's Global Sales — in partnership with the Employee Experience Task Force — has organized a Pride fundraiser that supports the LGBT Center. Established in 1983 as a result of the AIDS crisis, The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center (The Center) has grown and evolved over the last four decades, creating and delivering services that empower people to lead healthy, successful lives, celebrate our diversity and advocate for justice and opportunity.
Like WeWork, the LGBT Center has established a global community that allows the organization to multiply its impact and tackle a myriad of social issues, such as COVID-19 relief for homeless youth and support efforts for the African American community.
Our goal is to achieve $20,000 across the global Sales organization by month-end, so please do your part and help us achieve this goal.
