Slow Food UW

Due to the recent pandemic, Slow Food UW has had to shut down all operations. This includes all meals and our annual gala which is our main fundraising event. In May, we have to pay The Crossing rent for the past year. The Crossing has been very understanding and we are working on a rent break with them. We are struggling financially so we are reaching out to our wonderful community for help. Please donate what you can to help us pay rent. Thank you!

More information about Slow Food UW: Our mission is to promote and model an alternative food system where food is good, clean, and fair for all by supporting sustainable food production, creating an inviting community around food, and advancing food justice in the Madison area. As a completely student run organization, the mission advocates for transparency and offers educational material to customers, volunteers and interns while also supporting Madison’s local farmers and food producers. The students of Slow Food UW strive to bring locally sourced, home-made food to the UW Madison campus, at an affordable price. The projects also allow them to work with many community members and organizations.
