Illini Media Needs Your Support!
We need your help to keep Illini Media operating.
Training responsible journalists and other media professionals is more important than ever. Independent student media provides an unparalleled training ground and allows students the freedom to investigate and report on the campus and community without fear of censorship. This is paramount as we forge ahead into the ever-changing world of media.
As we transition to a digital-first media organization, one of our biggest challenges is developing and supporting responsive digital products and replacing antiquated technology. Your contribution will not only support current students with training, travel and enrichment opportunities, but it will allow us to invest in new technologies to ensure professional experience and opportunity.
Your contribution is necessary to continue the tradition of independent student media.
Here are a few examples of what your tax-deductible donations provide:
$50 pays for 1 month of the WPGU live stream
$100 sends 1 student to the Illinois College Press Association conference
$300 pays for 1 Adobe Creative Cloud license (we need at least 20 per year)
$500 sends 1 student to the annual College Media Association conference
$1,000 pays 1 month of WPGU transmitter antenna rent and utilities
$5,500 pays 1 month of rent in our new office space
