✅ Last day of August, Last day of the Hartford Monument Committee's fundraising campaign - we met our summer goal of raising the last $30,000 to complete a second monument in Veterans Park. Between GoFundMe, sponsorship of honor bricks, a large contribution by the Hartford Historical Society, and many donations mailed directly to us, we did it! The monument is fully funded, and any excess will be used for finishing touches around the monument and in the park. We will also make a donation to a special fund at Hartford Parks & Recreation for future maintenance of the monuments. Every dollar that you donated will be used toward some aspect of the monument!
