Growing Gardens of Boulder County

Want to join us at Voluntaryism in Action and make a difference?  We are raising $1,600 to build new raised garden beds for a community garden that our staff member Lance Cayko manages in Longmont Colorado. Donations of any size will help make an impact and all excess proceeds beyond those needed for the initial four beds will go towards desperately needed gardening supplies including seeds, plants, and garden tools. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me and my fellow community gardeners.

The raised garden beds will each be 4 feet wide by 8 feet long and will enable low-income individuals and families, as well as seniors to grow their own fresh organic food!  Voluntaryism In Action is proud to partner with Growing Gardens on this endeavor and we hope you'll join us too! Once this project is funded we will begin construction on the beds in anticipation of completing them by the start of the Colorado growing season in March!
Growing Gardens is a Boulder-based non-profit organization established in 1998 whose mission is to enrich the lives of our community through sustainable urban agriculture. They offer a variety of programs to get people of all ages, backgrounds, income levels, and abilities involved in growing and cooking their own fresh food. Educational opportunities are paired with seed, plant start, and produce donations, as well as gardening space, to impart greater food security and hunger relief in the community.
