Streetreach needs new plumbing!
Welcome, and thank you for your interest in our cause!
Founded in 1994, Grant Street Reach (“Street Reach”), formerly known as Grant Avenue Street Reach, is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization whose primary goal is to help the less fortunate members of our community and to make a difference in their lives. This includes the elderly, unemployed, underemployed, unemployed veterans, poor, and homeless – women, men and children. We provide a hot, nourishing meal to our clients every Monday.
Operating primarily as a Soup Kitchen, we at Street Reach provide over 800 hot meals every Monday to our clients. In 2015 alone, Street Reach served over 40,000 meals to its patrons. Aside from food service, we at Street Reach provide food (canned goods, fresh vegetables, and fruit), clothing, blankets, toiletries, diapers, and baby formula to our clients.
Street Reach provides meals at no cost to its clients and it is sustained by committed and compassionate volunteers and also, by the generous contributions of donors. Our organization is 100% volunteer operated.
Simply stated, our mission is to reach out to the community and feed the hungry regardless of circumstances, with dignity and without judgement. We are committed to making a difference in the lives of our clients and restoring hope by providing hot nutritious meals as well as other essential necessities to those in need within the community.
We are reaching out to the community asking for funding to repair the plumbing of the building we operate out of. We are seeking to raise 7000 dollars in order to replace the old plumbing in our bathrooms and install six new commercial toilets. Any contribution is highly appreciated, and anyone who sees this campaign is more than welcome to come down and have a meal or utilize any of the other services we offer whenever we are operating.
This post is from Peter Mazza, one of the weekly volunteers for Street Reach. If you would like further information about the organization or ways to contact us directly, please visit our website at http://grantstreetreach.org
