Concow Christmas Party
It has been 2 long years since the Camp Fire, yet most of these families are still in RV's, tents, sheds and cars. It's winter again. These families struggle with the extra expenses of this living style, like propane and gas for a generator, if you're lucky. Then there is the added expenses for septic pumping or having to drive to town constantly. Things are bleak as the cold weather settles in. They have no extra money for Christmas. Food and heat has to come first.
So, here we are again, asking for your help. We are looking for $1,500 to cover a free hot meal for the families, as well as, treats and presents for the kids. We can easily turn it into a drive thru event for COVID restrictions, if necessary just by prepacking food to go and preselecting their gifts. It's more fun when they get to pick, but they'll be just as surprised and excited.
We have an amazing group of volunteers to do the work. And this year, we would love to provide a new pair of warm pajamas for the kids who sign up. The party will be Saturday, December 19th at Toni's Restaurant on Hiway 70. We have several stores working with us, offering amazing discounts to help stretch our dollars and a bargain shopper you won't believe. We don't need much, but only you can help us make this a reality. From the Ground Up has

Together, many hands make light the work. Together we can show these families that we have not forgot them, even though it has been 2 years. Our Community has had 5 declared disasters in as many years. 2016 Fire, 2017 Oroville Dam broke, 2018 Butte County Camp Fire, 2019 COVID and 2020 gave us the Bear Fire. Can you please help me provide them a Christmas Party? Thank you!
