Ethiopian North American Health Professionals Association

The Michigan for Ethiopia Covid-19 Relief Fund Task Force (MECRFT) is a group of Ethiopians and Friends of Ethiopia in Michigan whose main mission is to assist in mitigating the growing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and resultant food shortage in Ethiopia.

The widespread of COVID-19 in Ethiopia has affected the lives and livelihoods of many Ethiopians. Ethiopia is asking all citizens to wear face masks, physical / social distance, minimize large gatherings and wash hands.  All non-essential workers are also asked to stay home. Such actions are important to save lives, but they also have created hunger, particularly for those without any income.  Therefore, it is critically important that we, Ethiopians in Michigan and friends of Ethiopia, respond to this desperate national call. Consistent with other states’ efforts, all funds raised will be sent directly to Ethiopia through the Embassy of Ethiopia in Washington, DC.  The funds will be used to support Food Banks throughout the country. In partnership with the Michigan non-profit organization, The Ethiopian North American Health Professionals Association (ENAHPA), the Michigan task force has established this “GoFundMe” account to raise funds for the cause. The Task Force welcomes any amount, to support the effort. 
We understand that the pandemic has impacted all of us in varying degrees; however, we ask you to join together to help save the lives of our elders, brothers, sisters, and children in Ethiopia with your generous monetary contributions.

ሚችጋን ለኢትዮጵያ ኮሮና ቫይረስ እርዳታ አሰባሳቢ ግብረ ሓይል በሚቺጋን የሚኖሩ ኢትዮጵያውያንና የኢትዮጵያ ወዳጆች የተቋቋመ  ቡድን ሆኖ ዋና ኣላማውም በኢትዮጵያ እየተስፋፋ ያለውን ኮሮና ቫይረስና  ከወረርሽኙ ጋር ተያይዞ የተፈጠረውን የምግብ እጥረት ለመዋጋት ነው።

በኮሮና ቫይረስ የተነሳ የብዙ ኢትዮጵያውያን ሕይወትና ኑሮ ተዛብቷል። ኢትዮጵያ ዜጎቿ ፊታቸውን እንዲሸፍኑ ርቀት እንዲጠብቁና ትልልቅ ስብሰባዎችን እንዳያደርጉ ጠይቃለች። እንዲሁም ብዙ ሰራተኞች ቤታቸው እንዲቀመጡ ተንግሯቸዋል፡፡ እነዚህ ሁኔታዎች ሕይወትን ለማትረፍ እስፈላጊ ቢሆኑም የብዙ ሰዎች ካለስራና ካለገቢ መቀመጥ ረሀብና የመሳሰሉ ችግሮችን አስከትሏል።  ስለዚህ እኛ ሚቺጋን የምንገኝ ኢትዮጵያውያንና የኢትዮጵያ ወዳጆች በአገሪቱ ላይ የደረሰውን ችግር አብረን መዋጋት ይኖርብናል። በሌሎች የአሜሪካን ከተሞች እነደሚደረገው ሁሉ እኛም የምናሰባስበው ገንዘብ ዋሽንግተን ዲሲ በሚገኘው የኢትዮጵያ ኤምባሲ አማካይነት ወደ ኢትዮጵያ ይላካል ። ገንዘቡም ኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ በየቦታው ለተቋቋሙት ለምግብ ማከማቻና ማደያ ጣቢያዎች እገዛ ላይ ይውላል። ለዚህ ተግባር በሰሜን አሜሪካ የኢትዮጵያ የህክምና ባለሙያዎች ድርጅት(ENAHPA) ጋር በመተባበር  ይህ የገንዘብ ማሰባሰቢያ  (GoFund Me) ተቋቁሟል። 
 
በእርግጥ ይህ በመላው አለም የመጣ በሽታና መዘዙ ሁላችንም በተለይየ መንገድ ነክቶናል። ቢሆንም በአንድነት ሆነን ኢትዮጵያ ያሉትን ወገኖቻችን፣ አዛውንቱን፣ እህት ወንድሞቻችንና የሕፃናትን ነፍስ ለማትረፍ በምንችለው  ሁሉ እንድንረዳ ዘንድ እንማፀናለን።

ሁሉም አቅሙ የፈቀደለትን እንዲያዋጣ ግብረሓይሉ በአክብሮት ይጠይቃል::

ማሳሰቢያ ፦፦፦፦፦፦፦፦፦፦፦ እርዳታ በሚያደርጉበት ጊዜ ጎ ፈንድ ሚ የሚጠይቅዎትን ተጨማሪ ችሮታ (ቲፕ) መክፈል አይኖርብዎትም። ቲፕ ሳይጨምሩ እርዳታዎን ለመስጠት የሚከተለውን ያድርጉ፤ ‘TIP’ ከሚለው መስመር ‘OTHER’ የሚለውን ከመረጡ በኋላ በቲፑ ሳጥን ውስጥ ዜሮ (0።0) ከሞሉ በኋላ የእርዳታውን ገንዘብ በእርዳታው ቦታ ብቻ ይሙሉ!
