Put a Lid on the Frying Pan at Riverstone
Do you love the concerts at Riverstone? Help us fund a shade structure for the amphitheater!
Every July through August, the Coeur d'Alene Arts and Culture Alliance provides free concerts for our community. That’s 10 concerts every year, a total 125 free concerts over the past 12 years.
Bands nicknamed our stage The Frying Pan! The venue is perfect; the heat is often unbearable. Our cover will protect expensive musical equipment and talented performers. It will also provide shade for many attendees.
This cover will also provide shade for other community events held at this amphitheater, ie. weddings, community gatherings, and other public uses.
Help us to provide a safe venue and attract quality performers. Of your donation, 100% will go to the direct construction of the cover (architectural plans are completed).
The structure materials have been purchased, but the construction was delayed due to crazy construction demands. The cost is now higher than originally anticipated due to the composition of the soil in the area, which requires digging the holes for the posts a full 14 feet, much deeper than anticipated. With the equipment needed to dig those holes, the cost went up considerably.
We are excited to have Ginno Construction for our construction team. The plan is to install the basic structure around December 12, and put the sail covers up in the spring.
