Tribute To Benefit is back with the third annual LOVE THY NEIGHBOR virtual concert to benefit Roof Above, Charlotte’s frontline nonprofit combatting homelessness. Musicians will pay tribute to artists who passed in 2022 by performing covers during a virtual concert to be broadcast on both Facebook and YouTube Tuesday January 31st at 7pm. Artists performing will include Charlotte’s own Troy Conn, Shana Blake, Emanuel Wynter, Charlotte Bluegrass All-stars, Reeve Coobs, and concert organizer, Justin Fedor, among many others. Also included will be performances from artists residing in NYC and Knoxville, TN with ties to the Queen City. Audiences will delight in covers of songs from Fleetwood Mac, Loretta Lynn, Nazareth, Foo Fighters, & beyond; while being urged to honor those who have passed by making donations to Roof Above.
Roof Above is an interfaith nonprofit with the mission of uniting the community to end homelessness, one life at a time. The organization’s vision is that every person has the safety, stability, and dignity of home. The organization operates a day services center, two year-round shelters, a nightly shelter, more than 500 units of supportive housing, as well as a treatment program for substance use disorders. For information, please visit www.RoofAbove.org.
Created in 2013, Tribute To Benefit will celebrate its milestone 10 year anniversary in November with a concert held at Neighborhood Theatre, continuing to raise money for Levine Children’s Hospital. The virtual tribute, although born out of the necessity for us to stay apart, has grown into an annual way for all of us to gather together in a very special & unique way that not only remembers great works, but also enables great works through Roof Above. We thank you for sharing & please know that any donation, large or small, can change lives!
