The Blue Tulip Human Rights Center continues to reach out to individuals and other organizations to be the voice for silenced women and children. We regularly participate in the United Nations CSW forum to increase awareness about human rights violations in Turkey. We have also collaborated with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on the "Fast-Track Integration Model for Highly Educated Immigrants." In order to expedite the integration process and support college students whose families are Turkish veterans and have been subjected to human rights violations in Turkey, Blue Tulip HRC initiated a scholarship program for Turkish immigrant students in the US.
The Blue Tulip Scholarship program for Turkish immigrant students in the US is a positive initiative that offers funding for higher education. It has been in existence since 2021 and provides scholarships for undergraduate, master's, and PhD studies. It is impressive that 98 scholarships have been awarded since 2021, demonstrating the program's success in supporting Turkish students. The total amount awarded was $47,000 in 2022.
The benefits of the Blue Tulip Scholarship program for Turkish immigrant students in the US are:
Funding for higher education: The scholarship offers financial support for students pursuing undergraduate, masters, and PhD studies.
Partial tuition fee coverage: The scholarship covers a portion of the tuition fee, reducing the financial burden on students.
Opportunities for Turkish students: The scholarship provides Turkish immigrant students in the US with opportunities for professional development.
Encouragement for academic achievement: By offering financial support, the scholarship program encourages students to strive for academic excellence and reach their full potential.
Blue Tulip HRC plans to support 27 college students in the 2023 fall term and are actively seeking generous sponsors to raise $13,000 for the fall semester of 2023.
