Change Lives For Glenda's Birthday

Hi everyone!

My name is Glenda Dyson and I started this fundraiser for Dress For Success – Worldwide West.

2016 has been a rough year for me at least, and I feel for most of us as well. From all the great artists and visionaries, we lost this year, to the very contentious and draining elections and all the tragedies, calamities and events that happened – I feel that we’re all just a little bit tired. I feel we all need just a little push of hope and joy, and gratitude.

I’m not usually one to make a big deal out of my birthday, but I felt that this year I had to do something. My birthday usually falls around Thanksgiving every year (I have to compete with a turkey!) and I thought what better way to end this year on a better, higher note than to put together a fundraiser.

Dress For Success – Worldwide West and the many chapters they have in the U.S. and in other countries empower women who have gone through difficult times in their lives to move forward, to continue to hope and allow women to fully realize their potential. They provide women not just with suits and clothing for job interviews but they also provide training, career advice and support that allows them to provide a better life not just for themselves but for their families as well. The money that we raise here will allow them to continue to provide clothing and other services to the women who need them the most. So, I really, really hope that you would join me in this endeavor. Let’s end this year on a high note, by using our gratitude and relief for surviving another year towards empowering women so that they too can have hope and gratitude.
