Medical Care for Retired K-9's

Mission :
Committed to providing medical care to retired K-9's from various local, state and federal agencies located within Cape Cod and the Islands. Upon retirement, K-9 officers are no longer supported by their departments and the burden then rests solely on the family.

A retirement fund , supported by the organizations activities and generous local donors, currently supports the retired K-9's medical needs, easing the K-9 family's financial burden.

The establishment of the fund promotes a sense of community by offording opportunity for the community as a whole to return in kind to the officers who fought to protect us !

KOBI is a 13 year old Belgian Malanois Retired from Yarmouth Police Department, and belonging to Peter B McClelland & Karla McClelland.  

Kobi would not be here if it were not for this fund ! He required neck surgery for an injury sustained while working. The surgery cost over $6,000 and was not a possibility for the family. The Cape Cod K-9 Relief Fund stepped in and due to all your generous donations and the many volunteers fundraising events and activities .......Kobi's surgery and rehab was a huge success !  He has been our mascot , attending many events and functions.

Vision:
Increased commitment to health and welfare of the fund supported K-9's through the expansion of funding.

The Fund's strategic plan involves growth of the current donor base, a capital campaign for a vehicle and large trailer to provide support at many events.

Future Fund supported events will be more diverse to draw in a greater segment of the community to increase awareness and drive funding.
