This year I'm running the Dublin City Marathon for a cause that's very close to home! Aoibhinn Breslin, daughter of Simon and Caitroina is a remarkable young lady. Told by the doctors at birth that she would never walk, never talk and possibly end up paraplegic her parents were undeterred.. They have fought for care and services over the past 9 years and now Aoibhinn enjoys a quality of life way beyond expectations.
Simon has been an integral part of The Laurels Charity Crew for many years and had contributed hugely in raising over a million euro for Crumlin hospital. Caitroina has sacrificed an extremely successful career to to get Aoibhinn to to where she is today. They are now trying to put one of the final pieces of the puzzle in place - to make their home adaptable so that Aoibhinn can have a tiny bit of independence. Trojan work has been done to date and you can follow their progress on Facebook Aoibhinn's Home Adaptation Project.

Heres a video clip that helps to tell their story.
Please donate what you can to this brilliant cause and help get them over the line!
