Casey The Miracle Bear fundraiser!

Casey Hathaway walked off from his home on Jan 22, 2019 and got lost in the woods for 55 hours.. in freezing temps & tropical storm like rain in treacherous terrain one can not imagine! It's a true miracle he was found alive. 1/4 miles from his house caught up in a briar patch. At aprox 9pm on the 24th. We would like to celebrate his amazing survival, the community & all rescuers that put their efforts into never giving up until Casey was brought home.
We are a small group of searchers that will be hosting a celebration. We will also be creating a New Bern Bear in his honor.
The family has given us permission for this celebration, they are not in any way involved with setting any of this up or benefiting from this!
All proceeds will go towards a New Bern Bear “Casey The Miracle Bear” Any funds left would be donated to CEMC children's dept in his honor.
We are hoping to raise as much as we can, as soon as we can to get the planning process started.
We are very grateful for our wonderful community that came together during this horrific experience.
We are so blessed with a positive outcome & this needs to be celebrated!
We want to bring everyone together to thank all the 600+ volunteers & rescuers from all over NC & the rest of our community that probably had to work etc. sitting on pins & needles minute to minute waiting to hear any news!
This is for our community to come & celebrate Casey a true miracle child!
