Kiko's Cottage was inspired by Doris' vision to create a warm and loving environment for her mom, Kiko, who developed Lewy body dementia.

My sister-in-law's home for the last 7 weeks of her life was Kiko's Cottage. She went from being an active senior to bedridden towards the end of her 80th year. Carolynn was quite happy with her decision to stay at Kiko's Cottage. The food was exceptional and the tender loving care she received was way beyond the best. Carolynn would be honored for you to donate to Kiko's Cottage in her memory through GoFundMe. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Doris McQuaid, the owner of Kiko's Cottage, describes in the following who will benefit from funds raised. For many aging seniors, their savings and social security checks simply cannot keep up with their expenses. As a consequence, they live in substandard conditions and don’t get the care they need. Some seniors eventually qualify for government assistance, others hope to get accepted.

Kiko's cottage believes that we have a duty to help these seniors, many of whom are part of the greatest generation. That's why we provide care to so many low-income seniors. We believe that every senior has a right to a safe and comfortable place to live during their most vulnerable years. More than half of our seniors are low income and sadly too many of them do not have family or friends to supplement their cost of care. Some come to us with only their hospital gown. We become their family by providing them with clothes, nutritional meals a warm bed, lots of love and a place to call home.

In return we are blessed by the beautiful love and gratitude of these deserving residents in their time of greatest need. Whether they are suffering from cancer, dementia, heart disease or any debilitating ailment we want to be there for them. But we can't continue to do it alone, your funds will help. Thank you!
