Sharyce to sing at Carnegie Hall

Sharyce Ferrell has been a student at the San Diego Academy of Performing Arts, a Julian Charter school, since it opened 4 years ago. With a love for music and the theater, she has performed in the musicals" Annie", "Beauty and the Beast", "Grease" and "Thrice upon a Time" and she is currently preparing for her latest role in "Bye Bye Birdie".
She is very passionate about music, and is a member of the Concert Choir, Chamber Choir and Show Choir. In 2015 she was selected as a member of the Southern California Vocal Association’s Middle School Honor Choir. She toured with her schools' Chamber Choir (Beau Chant) to and competed in "Music in the Parks Choral Festival", and helped her school place and bring home 2 trophies. She has also performed at Sea World, Magic Mountain, and Disneyland’s Gospel Fest. Sharyce holds the director appointed position of Soprano Section Leader and keeps her sopranos in tune and in line.
Her school choir will attend an invitational event, “Top Choirs of America” where they will perform at Carnegie Hall in New York. This event will feature 18 of the top high school and middle school choirs of the US and Canada. Dr. Anton Armstrong of St. Olaf College will be the featured conductor for this event. Her choir will sing at the Empire State Building as a part of their tour, and she could not be more excited.
Through all the activities that she is involved in, Sharyce maintains a 3.83 GPA and is well liked by all of her classmates and teachers. As a single mother, I am extremely proud and love to make this dream a reality for her. Unfortunately financing this type of oppurtunity is a struggle. Words would not be able to describe the feeling of being able to reward her dedication and hardwork. The trip is set for March 16, 2016 and final payment needs to be made ASAP.
