Help Baby Zarah Become A Healthy Baby Girl

Mohara Devi is a beloved member of the yoga community in Riverside, CA. She is the owner of Source Yoga Studio and has been a bright light of love and inspiration for many people over the years.
On November 23 Mohara, a single mother, gave birth to her daughter, Zarah, and immediately learned that there was something very wrong. Baby Zarah couldn’t breathe properly, and it was discovered that she was born with a rare birth defect that caused her abdominal contents to travel up to her chest cavity and crush into her lungs. Her intestines have filled up the space of her left lung.
Zarah was immediately rushed to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Loma Linda University Medical Center where she was put on ECMO (Extracorporeal Life Support) to help get oxygen to her organs until she could get strong enough for corrective surgery.
Zarah’s grave condition has improved dramatically during her first week of life. She has come off of life support and is getting ready for surgery to put her organs back where they belong. There is every reason to believe that this little girl will have a normal, happy life. But there are challenges to get through over the next couple of months.
Mohara’s friends, family, and the yoga community have asked how they can help, knowing that Mohara wants and needs to be at Zarah’s side for the next 2 to 3 months, and realizing that this prevents her from immediately going back to her livelihood of teaching yoga & running her yoga studio.
This GoFundMe Campaign will pay for Mohara's rent and utilities for the next 2 months, allowing her to be right where she needs to be, at Zarah’s side, until Baby Z is strong enough to be released from the hospital and begin the important job of just being a little girl.
