Care for baby Andrew and Ayanna

Some of you may know this and some of you may not, but due to poor housing conditions (no heat in the winter, no electricity, mice, and bed bugs) our family has struggled over the past few months. After many long and drawn out interactions with the landlord over rectifying the situation, we were taken to court and evicted. At the time I was pregnant and my husband had a work injury (tendinitis) that wouldn’t allow him to work. We had a little over a month to leave after being evicted. We had very little money as I had just recently gone back to work from maternity leave and my husband was out of work. So, we ended up homeless. Currently, we are living in a one room hotel provided by social services. The good news is that my husband was recently accepted into a training program for an organization that allows him to reach out to the community. This program could turn into an internship and eventually a career. Also, recently I was offered a position as a medical records clerk, this helps our situation tremendously, but without childcare for baby Andrew and Ayanna (after school) I I can’t accept the position that begins October 24th and we remain homeless. Social services may help but the approval process takes longer than we have before my job training comes up. We have practically nothing and daycare is $250.00 a week. Once I start my job and get my first paycheck in 3 weeks, I can better handle daycare, but until then, I would need help with the first 3 weeks. Being homeless is hard for all four of us. Everything is different and it’s hard as a new mom to a newborn and a beautiful little girl. We want to be good examples but we need help to climb out of this hole. If you can find it in your hearts to donate anything, please help. We don’t have many options. I am excited about my new job and would really love to start when I’m scheduled. In all honesty, if we surpassed $750.00 that would be even more helpful as that is just the cost of daycare for three weeks for our 3 month old who isn’t in school. God has certainly been good to us and we can’t complain, but we also have other urgent needs at this time, so even if you see the goal of $750.00 has been reached, don’t be discouraged in thinking that you missed an opportunity to donate, please still donate as it would be used for other helpful things like purchasing quality food, so that my body can produce healthy breast milk for our infant son. May God add a blessing and a heart of compassion to anyone who reads this.
