Camren's Story

Camren is a 6-year-old boy who attends Kula Elementary School. He is in the 1st grade this year and LOVES IT! He is an energetic boy who loves  dancing, playing tag, being a leader, and coming to school to see his friends.

Camren's Mom has been unable to take care of Camren and he relies on Paul, or “papa,” for all of his care and affection.

Camren's Papa, Paul, has been taking care of Camren since he was 2. Camren is Paul's step-daughter's son, but Paul cares for him as if Camren was his own.

Paul is disabled with 5 herniated discs and is unable to work. Camren is developmentally delayed and is making gains at school every day. They have been living homeless and without the full legal adoptive rights have been struggling to make ends meet.

In 2015, Paul became Camren's legal guardian. Legal guardianship is only the first step. It limits Paul's ability to fully provide and give Camren the family care he deserves. Paul goes above and beyond to care for and love Camren everyday. Camren is a happy bright light given his circumstances.

By raising the funds for Camren we will be able to help Paul finish the adoption process by paying for the adoption fees and legal services. This will provide Paul and Camren with more stability and the chance to have a permanent and stable homelife.
