Buy Senator Ernst's Vote

Betsy DeVos gave* $2,600 to Sen. Joni Ernst, whose vote is now pivotal inDeVos's nomination fight (If one more Republican commits to vote "no" DeVos loses).  We suggest raising $2,601.00 to outbid** DeVos and get OUR senator to vote no on the Ernst nomination!

The good folks at GoFundMe have asked me to add the following clarifications:

1. Who you are

My name is Kurt Friese, I am an elected official in Johnson County, Iowa, and a political activist raising money, in this case, for Planned Parenthood.

2. Where you're from

Chicago, originally ;-) But I live in Iowa City, IA

3. Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for

I am an activist and a supporter, but not an employee of Planned Parenthood.

4. How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible)

That would be up to them, but it's a donation to support their activities around women's health.

5. How you intend to get the funds to those in need

In whatever way you say I need to. I had intended to simply withdraw them and write them a check. But if your system has a more direct way to do it, that would be great, just let me know what I need to do.  When I draw the money and cut them a check, I will post a photo or something as evidence that it's all on the up & up.
