I'm Kristen Spours. I'm 15 years old. When I was 5 I watched Dancing on Ice and fell in love with skating. My parents gave me lessons for my birthday. I started competing at the age of 7 and now I'm the only female figure skater from GB to qualify for this year's World Championships in Boston, USA!

Being selected to skate at the Worlds is the next step on the road to achieving my dream of representing GB at the Olympics and is a huge honour. Since I was 6 I've been at the rink 6 days a week at 6:30 am. I eat breakfast on the way to school. I study for my GCSEs straight after school, pausing to do my off-ice training. I go to bed at 8:30 pm!

This year the Worlds are in Boston, USA, from 28 March to 4 April. The costs are only part funded by the National Ice Skating Association. For example, the cost of my coach going isn't covered. There is a shortfall of a minimum of £3,000. I am asking you for help to raise this sum to allow me to compete and to have my coach there with me. Any donations would be much appreciated.
