Break the Cycle Campaign 2015
Donation protected
Break the Cycle envisions a world that is free of social apathy. We believe that the widespread attitude of indifference towards critical issues such as mental heath, domestic abuse, social violence, poor education, homelessness and the treatment of refugees and asylum seekers breeds damaging cycles of inherited poverty and disadvantage that snowball out of control and affect millions of people worldwide.
Instead of letting this plague of passivity proliferate, we hope to help Break the Cycle by supporting charities which offer short and long term aid for individuals in varying forms of crises and need through donations and social raising awareness.
From August 1st 2015, Will and Safi will be riding from Cairns to Melbourne on pushbikes in order to raise $10,000 which will go directly towards several charities representing incredibly worthy causes
We have elected to support:
-The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre
-Edmund Rice Community & Refugee Services
-McAuley Community Services for Women
As well as donations of money, we will also be collecting second hand books, stationary and other arts and craft supplies, toiletries, non-perishable foods which will be allocated between the above charities.
Please contact 0412 365 897 to arrange drop off / pick up of the items mentioned above in Melbourne
We ask the public, "Are you geared for change?" -Because we believe that it is the sole responsibility of every individual to mobilise themselves and those around them to be and facilitate the positive change which they wish to see in our world.
