About Us:
We are Justin and Katie Bays, and we live in the Columbus, Ohio area. We’ve been married for a little over 8 years now and we have one son, Luke, who is in Heaven with our Savior. Justin works for a Christian school in Columbus in the athletic department and is also the boys' varsity tennis coach. After being a nanny for 10+ years, Katie now works part time at a local Target store. We are both huge Ohio State football fans (Go Buckeyes!). We love Starbucks a little too much. Most importantly, we love our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and we live our lives to bring honor and glory to His name!
Why Adoption:
After about a year and a half of marriage, we decided to start trying to have a baby. After a little over a year of trying, we were shocked to find out we were expecting. Unfortunately, about 8 weeks into the pregnancy, we miscarried. We were crushed. We started trying again right away. Fast forward 5 years, and we were still trying to conceive. It was heart wrenching! We decided to try infertility procedures, and low and behold, in June of 2014, we got pregnant! We were beyond thrilled! About halfway through the pregnancy, we found out that our little boy had a fatal diagnosis, and he would not survive past birth but for maybe hours or a few moments. We were absolutely devastated. Our little boy was born on January 16th, 2015 and passed away in the early morning hours of January 17th. We had 6 precious hours with him. After some genetic testing, we got the green light to start trying again. We tried the same procedure that gave us our son, but it didn’t work. We tried it 3 more times, with no luck. We felt like God was calling us to something else. We knew it was adoption. God has opened the door for us to pursue our next child through the adoption process and we couldn’t be more excited!

The words “thank you” don’t seem like enough when it comes to thanking someone for financially supporting us through this process. But from the bottom of our hearts and our families' hearts, THANK YOU! We can’t wait to bring our baby into our lives and into our family.
