BROOKLYN GOING TO DUKE

Brooklyn was born without a Thymus. A thymus is what produces tcells. Without a thymus she has no immune system. Usually this is fatal by the age of 2. A common cold could potentionally end her life. She will be 2 on March 1st. We have lived in isolation her whole life. She only goes to Dr appointments. She has never seen the inside of a store, a church, a daycare. Nothing. She deserves to be able to get out and explore. Everyone who comes in to contact has to wear masks gloves and gowns to reduce her risk to exposure. It woulf be nice for one day for her to be able to see people without a mask on. There is luckily a transplant to save her life. The only place in the USA who does it, is at Duke University in North Carolina. They have unfortunately shut down the procedure for the he past 15 months. They just reopened. We are in the top range of the waiting list. We had a little curve ball thrown at us. We anticipated to stay at a Ronald mcdonald suite like others had previously. Well, since they reopened, things have changed. Brooklyn will now have to be inpatient. Someone has to be there 24/7 with her. My mom is going to give me a little bit of a break as needed. (Best case scenario, we will be gone for about a month and a half) well, they only have one bed. So, we will have to come out of pocket for an apartment or a hotel. Even at discounted rates, it's way more than we anticipated staying at the Ronald McDonald house. Brooklyn has been thru the ringer. With all of her feeding issues resulting in a feeding tube and respiratory issues resulting into a trach, she deserves this chance at life. I don't like to ask for help. But, it's already been difficult with me not being able to work. Now with this huge unexpected expense. Please any and all help would be very much appreciated. Help a precious baby girl get the chance at life that she deserves!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!♡
