BOP Memorial Park Playground

Bring on Play (BOP) is an organization committed to providing safe and accessible playgrounds within the City of York.  We are an all-volunteer committee that have partnered with the City of York to renovate eight playgrounds in the past eight years and we are planning our ninth renovation at Veterans Memorial Park this September 15th. 

BOP’s goal in 2017 is to complete Phase 3 of the playground renovations at Veterans Memorial Park, as well as to implement many aspects of the Memorial Park Master Plan which was completed in 2007.  The 2017 project will provide additional walking paths within the park, which could be readily connected to the expanded pathways within the City.  The vision for the Memorial Park renovation also includes exercise and stretching equipment for adults, benches, and water stations, in addition to the play equipment for the children.  BOP would love to create “community centers” for the entire family at our renovated playgrounds, which would contribute to healthier lifestyles for multiple generations.
