Hi!
This is Oliver and he's 9 months old. He's currently in Crete awaiting a flight to the UK. We met him last month. He was clipped by a car after being dumped in the road.
Thankfully it wasn't serious and he's now ready to fly to his new home. He's been vaccinated, wormed and has all the required paperwork and passports.
The fundraiser is to help the Cretan Animal Protection to help them look after other dogs and cats that need some love, cuddles, food and medication. We have paid for all his vet bills and will pay his transport costs. If we could recover some of his flight that would be brilliant!
The situation in Crete isn't great - there seems to be very little in terms of spaying / neutering programmes, and everything is staffed by some amazing volunteers who give up their homes and their time to do what they can.
He's the most adorable little pup, so affectionate and we can't wait to bring him to the UK. He might not be too thrilled with the weather, but he will have a long and happy life with a family here who will love him and give him the fuss he deserves!
It's heading into off -season there, which means that all the tourists who feed the cats and dogs are no longer a resource. It's also tough on the locals as the hotels and businesses shut down without the tourists. It's super important to raise this as quickly as possible so that they can help as many animals as they can during the winter.
Oliver is very lucky to be adopted, he was severely dehydrated and wouldn't have survived much longer. If you can donate any money then we would be most grateful! There are lots of animals that are available for adoption so if you do need to fill your house with love and fluff make sure you adopt, don't shop.
