Here in Young, AZ, we live in a beautiful valley with the kind of people you want as your neighbors. There is so much to love about living here.
A three hour round trip drive to the nearest grocery store is not one of them!
We live in what is called, "a food desert" where fresh foods are not easily obtained but my dream is greenhouses and fields filled with fresh, wholesome foods available to the residents year round.
The average age in Young is sixty-six so for many growing their own foods is getting harder as they age. There are also families here with young children that need fresh produce every day to grow up healthy and happy but, again, those healthy foods are very far away.
Imagine YOU had to drive three hours just to get fresh foods for your family.
You might not be able to get there on a regular basis. You might have to eat more processed foods in a stage of life when good nutrition is vital to health.
Imagine you HAVE to grow your own food or you won't have it
What if you physically can't do it? What if your garden doesn't produce enough because of weather or insects? What do you do in the winter?

Your generous donations will be used to build the first of two greenhouses so fresh foods can be available all year. They will also purchase the Tower Gardens needed for year round growing and a storage and distribution center to keep those foods fresh after harvest.
Commercial Tower Gardens can grow large amounts of foods faster, use only 10% of the water of a conventional in-ground garden and produce high quality, organic and fresh vegetables every day of the year.
The Tower Gardens will last for decades but the initial expense is high. The yields are phenomenal, the water savings are amazing and we can grow anything that is not a root vegetable in them even in the coldest winter.
Squash, cantaloupe, broccoli, spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, strawberries and so, so much more will be grown in this incredible system.
