Bring ebook.bike to Justice

On Wednesday, March 27, 2019, I filed a federal lawsuit for copyright infringement in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas against defendants Travis Robert McCrea and Francisco Humberto Dias, the latter doing business as “Frantech Solutions.”  The case is styled Van Stry v. McCrea et al., No. 2:19-cv-00104 (E.D. Tex. filed Mar. 27, 2019), and was assigned to Judge Rodney Gilstrap in the Marshal Division.  I filed suit because there were many of my books on McCrea’s eBook.Bike which were available for distribution without my permission.

The complaint can be found here: eroticauthorsguild.org/1-main.pdf

As I said in the earlier statement, litigation is expensive. Very very expensive. I'm currently nineteen thousand plus dollars out of pocket to my attorneys, and that was just to file the case, we haven't even gone to court yet. I expect that will cost significantly more money than I've already spent. Hence why I am asking for your support.

Thank you all.

Just an update on where things stand.
Travis was served on the 27th. The courts have been notified and all of that stuff.
Now I guess we wait some more. Unfortunately, the legal process is a very slow one. There really isn't anything terribly exciting to share right now.
Thanks all of you for your support, and if anything interesting or of note should take place, I'll notify you.

Hello everyone, we have -finally- managed to serve Travis! We discovered just where he was hiding and were able to send a process server to serve him.
The next step is he has (I think) 21 days to respond to the service (which he has acknowledged). Then the next step should be on to court.
I want to thank all of you again for your generous gifts, it has helped out tremendously.

Hello everyone.
Travis is still in hiding, trying to avoid being served. For a man who claims that what he is doing is legal and that he is looking forward to his day in court, he sure acts like a man guilty of breaking the law in his constant refusal to step up and take responsibility for what he is doing.
We have also been playing 'wack-a-mole' with his servers, appealing to the sites hosting him by showing them that he is violating both the law and their Terms of Service.
All of this is of course, costing money, next week I'll find out just how much this month's legal actions have cost us.
Again, I want to thank all of you who have donated to this fight for your help. Sooner or later, Travis will be served and we'll be able to start the court case. Dealing with this hasn't been easy or fun, but if someone doesn't stand up to the bullies, they'll never stop their bullying.

Hi everyone.
So, we're still trying to find Mr. McCrea so we can actually serve him. For a guy who claims he wants to be sued, he sure is awfully hard to find. It's almost like he's in hiding because no one knows where he is.
For those of you who have donated so far, thank you once again! I know we'll find him sooner or later. He can't hide forever...
